Our Mission |
|
Most abuse survivors live with a myriad of trauma-related health conditions, including posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, chronic headaches and fatigue, and gynecological and digestive problems. Lack of immediate and affordable treatment means many women are unable to heal from past abuses, have a difficult time functioning in their daily lives, and are at-risk of ending up in unhealthy or even violent intimate relationships. Through grassroots efforts and community collaboration, The Emma Center seeks to help fill this gap in treatment to aid women in their healing process. The Emma Center is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. |
